Vibe coding iOS App [Day 67]

Vibe coding iOS App [Day 67]

Vibe coding an AI-powered quotes app using a bunch of AI tools in 30+ days because why not let AI do the heavy lifting?

This blog is my 30+ day adventure, from idea to launch, proving just how much faster things get when you have AI as your coding buddy.

Day 67: iOS App Published — And It Got Approved in 24 Hours?!

So here we are. Day 67!! 😂

After two months of vibe coding my way through bugs, tons of caffeine, and a very questionable dream I’ve finally published my first iOS app.

Let me say that again slowly for effect: It. Got. Approved. 🥳 And the best part? It didn’t take days. It took less than 24 hours.

No ghosting. No “we need more time to review.” Just a shiny green checkmark and an email from Apple that made me do a tiny, awkward dance in my car.

I was literally driving when my wife informed me that the app was approved. 😂

The Vibe That Shipped

This app was built entirely using vibe coding. No, not incense & lofi beats though those did help. I mean prompt-driven coding with AI.

I started with zero knowledge of mobile dev, AI helped me in every single step of the way.

Used Cursor for code, Figma for app screens & assets, and a bunch of other AI tools to help me with the process.

I had tried mobile development multiple times before, but this time, AI made it so much easier.

There were moments I questioned everything, but overall, it was smooth sailing powered by stubbornness and a very helpful AI assistant.

Cutting the Fat to Move Fast

Now here’s the thing. If you want fast approval on the App Store, don’t overcomplicate it. I stripped down the app so hard, it’s basically running in minimalist mode. Here’s what I didn’t include:

  • No analytics
  • No tracking
  • No user sign-up
  • No paywall
  • No popups asking you to rate it after 2 seconds

Just a simple experience: open the app, get a quote, feel something, maybe share it, then move on with your day.

And it worked. Apple loved how clean and simple the app was. Either that or they were just having a good day. I won’t question it. 😂

The Early Reviews Are In

The app’s live now, and I’ve started getting messages from early users.

A few highlights:

“This actually loads faster than I expected.”

“Love the vibe of the UI.”

“No login? Finally someone gets it.”

And my personal favorite: “Wait, you built this in 2 months?”

A few folks pointed out areas that could be better, like maybe letting people favorite quotes, ability to resize the quote text, and those ideas are in the works. But overall, it’s been a nice little launch.

What’s Next?

Honestly? I want to keep building. Now that I’ve shipped one app, the itch to make more is real. But first, I’ll take a moment to relish this win.

Shipping anything is hard. Shipping something that people enjoy even harder. But shipping something fast, simple, and built with vibes? That’s kind of my thing now.

So yeah, Day 67. The app is out. The feedback is good.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to ship your thing consider this it. Just strip it down, vibe code the rest, and hit publish.

Give it a try, I’d love to hear your stories.
