Vibe coding an AI-powered quotes app using a bunch of AI tools in 30 days—because why not let AI do the heavy lifting?
This blog is my 30-day adventure, from idea to launch, proving just how much faster things get when you have AI as your coding buddy.
I kicked things off on 8th Feb, 2025, starting with a boilerplate from Cursor. Sounds simple, right? Well, it took me a few hours just to get it running locally (because, of course, something had to break 🤷♂️).
But thanks to AI, I debugged my way through it—and even with the hiccups, it still saved me a ton of time. Pre-AI world this would have taken me easily weeks. 😵💫
For designs, I took a purchased some mobile app themes and started tweaking them in Figma. Designed few screens myself. Below is 1 of the screen for onboarding. 🤓

Then came CodiaAI, which saved me from manually recreating screens by converting screenshots into Figma designs. Pure magic. 🤯
Next, I threw those designs at Codeparrot, which turned them into React Native code. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a solid start. Then I went back to Cursor, using it to stitch everything together like a mad scientist piecing together an app monster. Surprisingly, it all worked. Mostly. 😅
Why I Decided to Build This App
I love sharing statuses on social media. My friends enjoy them too. 🤓
Whether it’s a deep thought, a random shower epiphany, or just a snarky one-liner. But creating a perfect (or not so perfect) status takes way too much time. Finding the right words, formatting it nicely, maybe even taking a screenshot—it’s like a whole project. And doing it on a regular basis is a big task.😭
I wanted to cut down that effort and just express what’s on my mind quickly. No overthinking, no endless scrolling for inspiration—just type, get a solid quote, and share. That’s how Quotesmatic was born.
Also, I’ve always wanted to build something for the Apple ecosystem. I’ve been meaning to dive into iOS development for a while, and with AI tools making things faster, I figured, why not now? 🤷♂️
At first, I hired a designer to help with the visuals. But let’s just say… we didn’t click. After a few rounds of “this isn’t quite what I was thinking,” I realized—this is my project. My vision. If it’s going to happen, I need to build it myself.
So, with AI tools as my co-pilot, I started piecing everything together. And now, here I am, trying to build an entire iOS app in 30 days. What could possibly go wrong? 😅
Stay tuned for more updates. 👍
